Sanchez Inks With Trine.

Portage Senior Wide Receiver Angel Sanchez signed his letter of intent to continue both his football and track careers at Trine University in Angola.  Angel was a 3 year letter winner in football and track for the Indians.  Angel is the son of Homberto and Katherine Sanchez.

All Duneland Conference FB

Four members of the Portage Indians football team were selected to the 2017 All DAC Football Squad. Senior wide receiver Greg Milledge, Quarterback Anthony Maceo, Lineback Drake Guerrero, and Defensive End Jimmy Craven represented the Indians on this year’s team.  The Indians finished the season with a record of 5-6, tied for 4th place in

Maceo Duneland Conference P.O.Y.

Senior Quarterback Anthony Maceo has been selected as Duneland Conference Offensive Player of the Year for 2017.  Anthony was a three year starter at quarterback for the Indians and accounted for over 5,000 all purpose yards during his tenure at Portage.

Craven Selected to Colts All-Academic Team

Senior Defensive End Jimmy Craven was selected to the 2017  Indianapolis Colts All Academic team.   Craven will be recognized as a special guest of the Colts, at the November 26th game against the Titans.  Craven who holds a 4.5 gpa made the 25 player squad that includes 21 valedictorians.  Jimmy is the son of Mr.

Fall Sports Awards Banquet

Portage High School’s Fall Sports Awards Night will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017.  The banquet will begin in the PHS West Auditorium at 6:00 pm.
