The nominees for Portage High School’s Athlete of the Month for October are below: Mackenzie McCarty-Hubbard: Volleyball  She leads the team in blocks and in hitting percentage.  She’s a game changer at the net! Anthony Maceo – Football: Anthony is the quarterback and leads the team in rushing yards with 1,269 yards.  He also has 14 touchdowns

Volleyball player, Emileishka De Jesus is the September Athlete of the Month!  Emileishka broke the school record against Lake Central with 23 kills and then against Chesterton with 25 kills.  She’s also our best defensive player leading in digs.  Congratulations to Emileishka and the volleyball team for a great season.  They will begin their state

Tuesday, October 11, 2016 5:00 PM Michigan City High School AWAY 0 Portage High School HOME 2 Game Recap The Indians defeated Michigan City in two. Miracle Lucas had 13 digs. Alyssa Kennedy and Alyssa Covarubias lead the team in aces. Gabby Jackson contributed four kills. The Indians will be playing Hanover Central Wednesday night.
