Hammond High School the #2 team in the state defeated Portage on Tuesday night. Scoring for the Indians were Kamari Slaughter with 9 points followed by Nate Orosz 6, Blake Creech 6, Jaelon Hollies 4, Lawrence Harris 3 and Grant Clark 1. Portage will travel to Lake Central on Friday night and host Boone Grove on Saturday night.
