Portage fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10 – 6 loss to Chesterton on Wednesday. Despite the loss, the Indians did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, the Trojans had 13 hits on the way to victory.
Nate Pressley was on the the pitcher’s mound for Portage. The pitcher lasted two and a third innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out two. Sean Kawiecki threw three and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Portage saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Mark Calmbacher, Michael Bender, and Adam Korba each racked up multiple hits for the Indians.
