Wrestlers Collect Canned Goods

The Portage High School wrestling team had an inter-squad scrimmage on Friday, November 14th.  Many parents, friends, and students came to watch and the entry fee was a canned good.  These canned goods will be donated to the Portage Food Pantry.  The varsity wrestlers will begin their season on Saturday, November 22nd at the Chesterton

Fall Season MVP’s Announced

Joseph to be Inducted in Hall of Fame

Portage alumni Fred Joseph will be inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame this February.  Fred was a two-time state champion with a record of 172-25.  He went on to wrestle in college at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.  Fred is currently a teacher at Willowcreek Middle School and coaches our Braves!  Congratulations, Fred!

Girls XC 18th at State Finals

The girls cross country team placed 18th at the 34th annual IHSAA State Cross Country Finals in Terre Haute on Saturday. This was Portage’s 18th time in the state finals.
