Girls Golf falls 212-206

The Indians varsity girls golf team lost a close match to the LaPorte Slicers 212-206 at Robbinhurst Golf Club.  The Indians were led by Alicia Wood and Katelyn Bohlim who were co-medalists carding 44’s.

The boys tennis team falls to Lowell 0-5. Dengke Wang lost a 3 set thriller that lasted 3 hours.  Portage’s JV squad tied Lowell 4-4. The loss to the Red Devils drops the Indians to 1-2 on the season.

Volleyball Wins in Five

Portage varsity volleyball beat the Wheeler Bearcats in 5 last night at Wheeler High School.  The final score was 3-2.  Kaitlyn Galey had 13 assists and 13 digs.  Abby Alexander had 23 digs and 5 aces.  Jordyn Tucker had 7 kills, while Alexa Ciesielski had 7 kills and 4 blocks.

Varsity Soccer Tops South Bend Adams

Portage Varsity Soccer beat South Bend Adams 3-1 in a shortenend game on Saturday.  The first goal was scored by Ben Schaefer and the next 2 shots by Zack Wefler and Koste Kocoski were deflected off of South Bend’s own team members and scored.  The rains came at halftime and the game was called due to the flooding
