Boys Basketball Looks to Limited Returners to Lead

Head Coach Rick Snodgrass is heading into the 2018-19 season with only 3 returners to his Varsity roster. Those three are Maurion Martin, Jalen Smith, and Brandon English. Martin is a three year starter and averaged 14.8 points per game last year for the Indians. He will be looked at for putting in serious minutes and buckets throughout the season.

The team will feature seven seniors. Many of those seniors have not cracked the Varsity lineup, but Snodgrass believes that these seniors can propel the Indians in the right direction through the season. He believes “with only 3 players returning from last year’s team it will be a learning curve as the season progresses. It will be fun to watch them grow as a team.” Growing as a team with seven seniors should be easy, as the seniors have played together for the past couple years. Snodgrass will be dressing the earlier three mentioned of Martin, Smith, and English, as well as Isaiah Hudson, London Harris, Aaron Parrett, and Evan Olson.

Man Down

The Indians will be starting their season without one of their big three. Jaylon Smith was injured during the opening round of football Sectionals versus Crown Point. He will hopefully return to the Indians in mid-December.
