Multiple Teams · Boy’s Soccer Falls to Top Ranked Trojans

The boy’s varsity soccer team gave up a late goal in a 2-1 loss to Chesterton on Wednesday night.  The Trojans opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, on a shot just out of the reach of Cody Simmons.

Justin McGhee answered for the Indians in the 48th minute, knocking in a rebound in the 6 yard box.  McGhee’s goal came after Ben Schaefer’s free kick was headed by Josh Gonzalez.  The Trojan keeper was unable to corral the ball and it fell right to McGhee’s feet as he calmly slotted it home.

The loss drops the Indians to 5-6-2 on the year and 2-4 in DAC play.

The JV team tied Chesterton 1-1 with a goal from Evan Graber.

The Indians play Highland on Saturday. It is is senior day for the Indians. The JV game starts at 1 p.m. with the Varsity game to follow.
